Democracy Forward and the National Women’s Law Center are challenging the EEOC’s limited processing of transgender discrimination charges under the Trump administration.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s policy violates Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and goes beyond the agency’s authority, the civil rights groups allege in their lawsuit filed to US District Court for the District of Maryland.
