The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Department of Justice are facing a federal lawsuit accusing the agencies of illegally terminating a former FBI employee for displaying a Pride flag in his workspace.
David M. Maltinsky, who previously worked as an intelligence specialist, sued in DC federal court Wednesday, alleging his Oct. 1 dismissal three weeks before his graduation from the FBI Special Agent Training Academy was politically motivated and violated his First Amendment rights.
