Kaiser, EEOC Settle Religious Bias Charges Tied to Vaccine (1)

The EEOC secured a $358,000 settlement with Kaiser Permanente to resolve 12 charges of discrimination stemming from the healthcare and insurance company’s alleged denial of employees’ religious accommodations to its Covid-19 vaccine mandate.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said Wednesday it found reasonable cause to believe that Kaiser discriminated against workers at locations in several states by questioning the sincerity of their religious beliefs and failing to provide them with reasonable accommodations.
