Little Caesars workers secured initial approval for a wage-and-hour settlement with the franchisee running the New York stores where they prepared pizzas.
The deal resolves allegations that Phoenix Nexus LLC and its subsidiaries misclassified store managers as exempt from overtime protections and didn’t comply with state law on uniform laundry costs, according to a settlement memo the workers filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of New York. Judge Anthony J. Brindisi granted the deal preliminary approval Feb. 6.
