The Golden State Warriors, the National Basketball Association franchise that anchors a broad entertainment, media, real estate, and sports portfolio, have hired Chegg Inc.'s Woodie Dixon Jr. as their chief legal officer.
A veteran sports industry lawyer, Dixon takes over role with the Warriors previously held by David Kelly, who left the club earlier this year to take a new job as managing director and general counsel of the National Basketball Players Association. Kelly, a former Big Law partner who once rapped under the moniker Capital D, had been the top lawyer for the Warriors since 2012.
