Nike Latino Older Director Gets Harassment, Bias, Reprisal Trial

Nike Inc. must face trial on an executive’s claims he was subjected to comments mocking his accent and age, retaliated against for complaining about bias and ultimately fired because he’s Latino and was in his 50s.

Juan Antonio Torres Garavito’s evidence includes a subordinate mimicking in an exaggerated accent a phrase Torres Garavito—whose first language is Spanish—had just uttered, the US District Court for the Central District of California said.
