The Senate labor panel advanced two National Labor Relations Board nominees even as the clock is ticking to get them confirmed by the full chamber before the November presidential election.

The Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee on Thursday voted 11-10 along party lines to advance Lauren McFerran’s nomination for a second term as NLRB chair. Senators also advanced Joshua Ditelberg’s nomination to fill the open Republican seat by a 18-3 vote.
