Rubio Says USAID Takeover Needed for Foreign Policy Goals (1)

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said he’s now in charge of the US Agency for International Developmentand warned US lawmakers that the agency may be abolished following a review of its operations.

Speaking to reporters in San Salvador, El Salvador, Rubio called USAID a “completely uncooperative” agency, weighing in after the Trump administration and its allies put senior staff on leave and threatened to shut it down for good.
