Several Senators are floating a new bill on joint-employer standards that would provide protections for franchises and make it harder to find they jointly-employ workers under federal labor and employment law.
The “American Franchise Act” is being introduced Wednesday by Sens. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) and Angus King (I-Maine), along with Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), James Lankford (R-Okla.), and Tim Sheehy (R-Mont.) as co-sponsors,, the International Franchise Association told Bloomberg Law.
