The Senate labor committee voted to send President Donald Trump’s newest EEOC nominee Brittany Panuccio to the full Senate for confirmation.
In a party-line 12-11 vote on Thursday the committee advanced the Florida assistant US attorney’s nomination to serve on the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Senate confirmation of Panuccio, along with a reconfirmation of Acting Chair Andrea Lucas, would give Republicans a 2-1 majority on the commission. This would allow the EEOC to move forward with a Trump-aligned agenda.
