Union Pacific Settles Conductor’s Retaliation, Safety Claims

Union Pacific Railroad Co. reached a deal to end a conductor’s claims that he was retaliated against after reporting unsafe work conditions and taking medical leave after an alleged shooting at his work site.

Judge Terry A. Doughty dismissed the case Monday after the parties filed a notice of settlement in the US District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
