A White former Home Depot USA Inc. employee accused his Black supervisor and coworkers of subjecting him to a racially hostile work environment and claimed unlawful termination.
Brett Johnson, who worked at a Home Depot store in Raleigh, N.C., alleged in a US District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina complaint Thursday that a Black worker he supervised “routinely responded to any form of constructive criticism, coaching, counseling, or verbal or written discipline from Johnson by stating ‘yessa masta’ or making other statements suggesting Johnson was a slave owner.”
