China to Cancel VAT Export Rebates for Solar Products From April

Effective April 1, China will cancel value-added tax export rebates for solar products, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance.

• VAT export rebate rates for battery products will be reduced from 9% to 6% from April 1 to Dec. 31
• The rebate for battery products will be cancelled from Jan. 1 2027
• The statement doesn’t give reason for the rebate change
