Colombia wants to join the US in having its companies exempted from part of the 15% global minimum tax that dozens of countries have already adopted.
The country has submitted a formal request for a carve-out to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, which brokered the agreement with more than 140 countries, two people familiar with the matter said.
