EU envoys won’t reach a deal on a bill in March to share value-added tax information with the bloc’s anti-fraud agencies, amid lingering concerns over data protection and the authority of the agencies.
Cyprus, which currently holds the EU’s rotating presidency, had initially targeted a March gathering of EU finance ministers to finalize the bill. But at a meeting on Thursday, EU envoys acknowledged that more work is required in the negotiations, according to people familiar with the matter.
