EU negotiations this fall on a range of corporate tax issues, including the global minimum tax, will be driven largely by President Donald Trump’s demands on the bloc.

Calls by Trump for Europe to spend more on its own defense and help fund the war in Ukraine will continue to put pressure on the EU budget, fueling discussion of higher corporate taxes—to name one option—to boost much-needed revenue.
