Nebraska Enacts Assignment for Benefit of Creditors Act, Includes Stamp Tax Exemption

The Nebraska Governor signed the Uniform Assignment for Benefit of Creditors Act. The law includes a provision exempting from the documentary stamp tax assignments transferring property from an assignor to an assignee pursuant to the Act.
