Reeves Focuses on UK Living Costs, Growth Amid ‘Uncertain World’

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves will use her economic statement on Tuesday to lament that the world is awash with uncertainty. And she’ll try not to contribute any more of it — by saying as little as possible.

Reeves, whose statement is due at about 12:30 p.m., has deliberately prepared a stripped-back speech, given her pledge to scale back to one major tax-and-spend package a year.
