S. Korea to Extend Fuel Tax Cut for 2 Months to Stabilize Prices

South Korea will extend fuel tax cuts for another two months through Feb. 28, 2026, to help stabilize prices and ease households’ financial burden, the Finance Ministry says in release.

  • Government to reduce tax on gasoline, diesel, and butane
  • Separately, automobile consumption tax cut will also be extended by 6 months through June 30, 2026
