Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) introduced legislation that would conform the state to federal tax code provisions by allowing the deduction of tipped income, overtime, and interest for car loans while raising the standard deduction for single, joint, and senior filers.
Hobbs framed the bill on Friday as a true middle-class tax cut while she vetoed a tax cut bill passed this week by the Republican-controlled legislature.
