Colorado lawmakers moved quickly to fill a current-year budget gap, approving several bills including measures that grant the state greater authority to tax business income from foreign subsidiaries and remove certain business deductions.
The Colorado General Assembly Monday finished passing a series of revenue-raising measures aimed at closing a $1.2 billion hole in the 2026 budget, which Democrats who control both chambers attributed to President Donald Trump’s new tax-and-spending law.
