Keith Richardson, chief of the DC Office of Tax and Revenue, has been selected as the new executive director of the Multistate Tax Commission, an intergovernmental agency promoting tax uniformity and fairness across state tax systems.
Richardson’s appointment was announced Tuesday during a meeting of the commission’s Executive Committee and some three months after current director, Greg Matson, decided to step down. The executive committee interviewed five candidates before selecting Richardson, who, since 2016, has held the title deputy chief financial officer for the DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Tax and Revenue.
