Greer and LeBlanc Meet as USMCA Countries Gear Up for Talks (3)

US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer and Canada-US Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc met Friday in Washington in the first high-level, in-person talks between the two men in months.

LeBlanc said he introduced Janice Charette,Canada’s new chief trade negotiator, and new Ambassador Mark Wiseman. The group had a “constructive and substantive discussion” on the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement joint review process “and on broader bilateral trade issues.”

LeBlanc said in a post on X that he and Greer will speak again in the coming days.
