Polymarket’s preemptive challenge to Massachusetts’ targeting of its sports prediction contracts was stayed by a federal judge Thursday until rival platform Kalshi completes its appeal of a statewide ban on its sports bets.
Judge William G. Young approved the parties joint proposal to hold off on advancing the case until the Massachusetts Appeals Court or Supreme Judicial Court reviews the trial court’s granting of a preliminary injunction blocking Kalshi from offering sports prediction contracts in the state.
