Electric company PacifiCorp owes Oregon property tax on its goodwill, intellectual property, and other intangible assets after the state supreme court rejected the utility’s constitutional arguments Thursday.
The Oregon Supreme Court pointed to its July 24 opinion in a related case involving Delta Air Lines Inc. for its conclusion that the state’s tax the intangible property of centrally assessed businesses is constitutional.
