The University of Texas Club inside the Longhorns’ football stadium should be sold to cover delinquent property taxes, Travis County told a state trial court.
The university is behind on $160,000 in property taxes, penalties, and interest for tax year 2024, the county alleged in a complaint filed Monday in the Texas District Court for Travis County. The county is suing on behalf of several municipal entities that impose local taxes on property in the stadium, including the city of Austin and the local school district.
