Bessent Taps Theurer to Perform Duties of His Deputy Secretary

Derek Theurer will perform the duties of Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, according to an emailed statement from the agency.

• Theurer joined the department in January as counselor
• In March, he was nominated to be Deputy Under Secretary of the Treasury for Legislative Affairs
