Chile’s Marcel: Data From 2025 Tax Returns Improved Over 2024

Chile Finance Minister Mario Marcel says in a presentation at an event in Santiago that the total number of declarations made during the annual income tax filing period this year — for both companies and individuals — grew 7.9% over 2024.

• The total amount of taxes paid in the 2025 filing period, known locally as “Operacion Renta,” increased 25% in nominal terms during the period
• The amount of tax rebates fell 20%
• Results are in line with expectations laid out in the government’s public finances report
