Former IRS Acting Commissioner Douglas O’Donnell Joins KPMG (1)

Douglas O’Donnell, who served as acting IRS commissioner amid the Trump administration transition, is joining accounting giant KPMG LLP.

O’Donnell, who spent four decades at the IRS, will be a senior managing director within the Washington national tax practice, according to a KPMG announcement. He will co-lead the tax controversy and dispute resolution group to help taxpayers navigate issues between the IRS and foreign tax authorities.
