The Treasury Department plans to put out all the projects on its list of regulatory priorities this fiscal year, an official said Thursday.
“We thought, in the interest of transparency, it would be good for the government to start from a clean slate and have the 2025-2026 priority guidance plan lay out the regulatory projects that we actually intend to get out in 2025 and 2026,” said Kevin Salinger, the deputy assistant secretary for tax policy at the Treasury Department, at the 2026 DC Bar Tax conference.
