Uber Technologies Inc. was hit with a proposed class action accusing the ride-share service of willfully submitting fraudulent tax forms to the IRS that reported income for individuals who never drove for the company.

Uber willfully made a false and fraudulent statement to the IRS when the company reported that it paid $1,236 in nonemployee compensation to plaintiff Damian R. Josefsberg, who said in a complaint filed Monday with the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida that he has never driven for Uber.
