The Utah Governor signed a law that amends Section 59-10-1047, regarding the individual income child tax credit. The law expands eligibility for the tax credit by establishing new income thresholds, for when the tax credit begins to phase out, set at $30,500 for married filing separately, $49,000 for single or head of household filers, and $61,000 for joint filers. The law takes effect May 6, with retrospective operation for taxable years beginning on or after Jan. 1, 2026. [H.B. 290, enacted 03/24/26]
