Court of Appeals: The Year in Review

When Chief Judge Rowan Wilson took the reins of New York’s top court in 2023, he was expected to be a liberal counterweight on a court where the docket had shrunk and a conservative wing had ascended.

With Wilson’s second full year now coming to a close, some of that has held true — but he’s also found himself in a dissenting minority in some key cases.
