CAAT Pension CEO Resigns, Returns $1.2 Million Vacation Payout

CAAT Pension Plan Chief Executive Officer Derek Dobson exited the fund after being placed on leave amid concerns over a C$1.6 million ($1.2 million) payout he received last year for unused vacation time, according to a person familiar with the matter.

The Canadian fund that manages the retirement savings of hundreds of companies and institutions reached a settlement agreement with Dobson that includes repaying his 2025 vacation payout, CAAT said in a statement Friday. The pension plan didn’t disclose the amount of the payout.
