AARP, Staffing Firm Agree to End Lawsuit Over Unpaid Invoices

AARP Inc. and Aquent LLC notified a DC federal court that they’re ready to close litigation, in which the staffing company alleged the retirement service provider failed to pay over $7.5 million of invoices under two staffing contracts.

The parties, agreeing to bear their own costs and fees, moved to voluntarily dismiss the case with prejudice after it was referred to mediation, according to a joint stipulation filed Monday with the US District Court for the District of Colombia. Aquent LLC sued AARP in October 2024, asserting claims for breach of contract, or, alternatively, quantum meruit and unjust enrichment.
