Chevron Corp. appointed Kevin McLachlan from TotalEnergies SE to lead its global exploration team, which is undergoing a revamp after several high-profile failed attempts at discovering oil and gas.
McLachlan will become vice president of exploration effective Nov. 1, replacing Liz Schwarze, who will retire in February after 36 years at the company, Chevron said in a statement. At TotalEnergies, McLachlan worked in exploration hot spots including Suriname, Namibia and Cyprus — all areas where Chevron is focused on finding more resources.
