Energy Department Hit With Another Grant Discrimination Lawsuit

Engineers and energy tech companies sued the Energy Department Monday for allegedly discriminating against blue states when cutting federal grant funding.

“Every Plaintiff did nothing wrong other than being located in a state whose citizens vote for the political party that the current government disfavors,” according to the complaint filed with the US District Court for the District of Columbia.

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Proton Energy Systems Inc., and others claimed they faced the same discrimination alleged in another case brought by St. Paul, Minn., and an assortment of clean energy advocates. Those groups ...
