International accounting standard setters delayed making any decisions over future projects for two years so they could work in partnership with their sister sustainability board.
The 14-strong International Accounting Standards Board voted unanimously Tuesday to delay publishing a request for information over its future work plan until 2027, when its sister body the International Sustainability Standards Board will also consult over its future strategy.
The so-called Fourth Agenda Consultation was originally scheduled to begin in October and will decide which projects the IASB will tackle from 2027 to 2031.
