The US Supreme Court should refuse to hear a case from an anti-nuclear nonprofit challenging a license the Nuclear Regulatory Commission issued to Holtec International for a temporary nuclear waste storage facility, the company said.
“Petitioner asks this Court to overturn a court of appeals decision to reopen a single NRC licensing proceeding, and, at most, strike three superfluous words from a license application,” Holtec said in its brief filed Thursday.
“There is no further remedy, and there is no broader importance to be found,” it said.
