Louisiana Enters Agreement With ExxonMobil Over Coastal Erosion

Louisiana has entered into a yet-to-be finalized agreement with ExxonMobil to address coastal erosion in the state, Gov. Jeff Landry (R) announced in a post on X.com.

State Attorney General Liz Murrill confirmed in a separate post the same day that an agreement is in the works, “but documents still need to be drawn up and signed.” The deal comes after the US Supreme Court ruled that lawsuits brought by state localities belong in federal court, not state court.
