A Morgan Stanley senior banker who advised on some of the biggest oil-industry acquisitions in decades is joining renewable power company Bloom Energy Corp.
Aaron Hoover, Morgan Stanley’s global co-head of energy investment banking, will lead Bloom’s corporate and business development, the San Jose, California-based fuel-cell maker said in a statement Thursday. Hoover will be based in Houston.
Hoover played key roles in recent mega deals that included Pioneer Natural Resources Co.’s $60 billion sale to Exxon Mobil Corp. as well as Chevron Corp.’s $53 billion takeover of Hess Corp. A Morgan Stanley spokesperson declined to comment.
