New York Sues Trump Administration Over Wind Project Pauses (3)

New York state launched two separate lawsuits against the Trump administration Friday, alleging it violated federal law when it suspended work last month on Equinor ASA and Orsted A/S offshore wind projects.

In two different suits, the state alleges the federal government violated the Administrative Procedure Act partly because the stop work orders for the Empire Wind and Sunrise Wind projects don’t give a “reasoned explanation” for the suspensions or explain why the Department of Interior and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management changed their positions regarding the projects.
