Remy Cointreau SA said it’s reviewing its drinks portfolio and considering all options, raising the prospect of further dealmaking activity in a sector already undergoing significant change and consolidation.
Remy Chief Executive Officer Franck Marilly, who took over at the French spirits company last year, told analysts Thursday he’s considering sales and acquisitions and no part of the business would be spared scrutiny.
“We’re conducting an ongoing in-depth analysis across our current brand portfolio with no sacred cows,” Marilly said on a conference call, after the company reported better-than-expected profit that lifted its shares.
