Shutdown Insufficient to Pause Endangerment Case, Groups Argue

A Massachusetts federal court should deny the Trump administration’s motion to pause a case over the Energy Department’s Climate Working Group, environmental groups said Wednesday.

The government is “racing ahead to rescind EPA’s Endangerment Finding, with EPA staff continuing to work on rulemakings notwithstanding the government shutdown,” the Environmental Defense Fund and Union of Concerned Scientists said in their opposition filed with the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
