The Trump administration is suing a New Jersey township for banning natural gas infrastructure in new buildings through a local ordinance.
“In pursuit of ‘electrification,’ this ban denies consumers reliable, resilient, and affordable energy, as well as the use of commonplace gas appliances for cooking, heating, and other household needs,” the Justice Department said in its complaint filed Tuesday with the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
