US Trade Group Pushes Back on EU Offer to Simplify Methane Rules

The US Chamber of Commerce, a leading trade organization, is pushing back against a proposal by the European Commission to simplify its methane regulations rules, saying the offer stops short of fixing “core structural flaws.”

This comes after the European Union plans on simplifying ways for US liquefied natural gas exporters to comply with methane emission requirements, a proposal expected by Dec. 15 in Brussels, Bloomberg News previously reported.
