Utah sued the US Bureau of Land Management for closing 640 miles of roads to off-highway vehicles in Wayne and Garfield Counties alleging the closures violate federal law and harm state interests.
The state, alongside the Utah School and institutional Trust lands Administration and the two counties, alleged the Interior Department agency didn’t coordinate with them before enacting the Henry Mountains and Fremont Gorge Travel Plan, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Utah.
