Airbus Deploys Carbon Capture Tech at Canada’s Deep Sky Facility

Aerospace giant Airbus SE has started capturing carbon dioxide at a facility in Alberta with a technology it developed and that is now deployed in partnership with Canada’s Deep Sky Corp.

The European planemaker’s carbon-capture technology is derived from life-support systems it designed for the International Space Station. The system grabs CO2 from the air with filters before concentrating it through a heating process and storing it underground, according to a statement from Deep Sky, which develops carbon removal projects.
