Boeing CEO to Tout Culture, Safety Reforms Prompted by Missteps

Boeing Co. Chief Executive Officer Kelly Ortberg plans to tell lawmakers that the planemaker has made mistakes that it’s working to address by overhauling its quality standards and culture.

“Boeing has made serious missteps in recent years — and it is unacceptable,” Ortberg plans to tell the Senate Commerce Committee on Wednesday, according to written testimony seen by Bloomberg. “In response, we have made sweeping changes to the people, processes and overall structure of our company.”
