Business organizations on Tuesday signalled plans to ask the Ninth Circuit to pause a California corporate emissions reporting law, after a judge rejected their campaign to freeze the statute for now.
The US Chamber of Commerce and other business groups disclosed their plans to appeal the denial in a filing with the US District Court for the Central District of California. Judge Otis D. Wright II, who sits on the court, ruled on Aug. 13 to keep the 2023 law in place, after the business groups asked him to block it during their litigation.
